JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) continues to increase its contribution to state revenues throughout 2024.
Based on the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) held at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 18, PLN reported a deposit to the state worth IDR 65.59 trillion.
This figure increased by 17.98 percent compared to 2023.
PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo, said that at the GMS for the 2024 financial year, PLN recorded dividend deposits to the state of IDR 3.35 trillion.
Apart from dividends, PLN has also succeeded in contributing through tax revenues of Rp62.17 trillion, this amount includes income tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), stamp duty, import duties, as well as regional taxes and regional levies.
"In addition, PLN contributed to Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) worth IDR 73.68 billion," he said, Thursday, June 19.
He added that concrete achievements in the Financial Performance for the 2024 Fiscal Year are supported by end-to-end transformations that have been implemented since 2020 and continue to have a significant and sustainable impact on the company's performance.
PLN recorded a slick performance throughout 2024 by earning a net profit of IDR 17.76 trillion.
This achievement was also supported by the company's revenue which reached a record high in history, which amounted to IDR 545.38 trillion, an increase of 11.90 percent compared to the previous year which was recorded at IDR 487.38 trillion.
Darmawan explained that continuous support from the Government became an important foundation in dealing with global economic turmoil, so that PLN was able to achieve a consistent positive performance.
"We are very grateful to President Prabowo Subianto, Danantara, Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Finance, and relevant stakeholders who encourage PLN to remain strong and resilient in facing global challenges. The government consistently maintains people's purchasing power and presents an attractive investment ecosystem for business and industry players so that electricity consumption continues to grow," explained Darmawan.
