JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo confirmed that the giant sea embankment project or Giant Sea Wall (GSW) which will stretch along the north coast of Java from Banten to Gresik will soon be executed.
Dody said that his party had received special instructions from President Prabowo Subianto, which the project is said to be one of the most vital infrastructures to protect the northern coast region from tidal threats and extreme climate change.
"God willing, it will be carried out. But, please be patient because our budget from time to time is also very limited and there are priorities here and there, but that doesn't mean we are silent, no," said Dody as quoted from his written statement, Monday, June 16.
