Foreign Funds Entered IDR 5.20 Trillion On The Second Week Of June 2025

JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded a flow of foreign funds (capital inflow) of IDR 5.20 trillion to the domestic financial market in the period 10 12 June 2025. The funds came from net buys by non-resident investors in the stock market and Government Securities (SBN), although there was an outflow in Bank Indonesia's Rupiah Securities (SRBI).

"Foreign funds consist of net purchases of Rp0.83 trillion in the stock market and Rp5.08 trillion in the SBN market, as well as net sales of Rp0.71 trillion in SRBI," said Executive Director of the BI Communications Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, in an official statement quoted on Sunday, June 15.

Cumulatively from the beginning of the year until June 12, 2025, foreign capital flows showed that non-residents recorded net sales of IDR 47.54 trillion in the stock market and IDR 21.82 trillion in SRBI. Meanwhile, net purchases in the SBN market were recorded at IDR 53.91 trillion.

BI also reported a decrease in Indonesia's investment risk. Indonesia's 5-year Credit Default Swap (CDS) premium was recorded at 73.47 basis points (bps) as of June 12, 2025, down from 75.92 bps on June 6, 2025.

In terms of yields, SBN tenor 10 years on Friday morning, June 13, 2025, was recorded to have dropped to the level of 6.66 percent. This decline continued the trend from the previous day, Thursday, June 12, 2025, which was at the level of 6.68 percent.

Meanwhile, the rupiah exchange rate on Friday morning, June 13, 2025, opened at the level of Rp. 16,260 per US dollar (bid), slightly lower than the close on Thursday, June 12, 2025, which was at Rp. 16,230 per US dollar. On the other hand, the US dollar index was recorded to have weakened to the level of 97.92.

For the global market, the yield of 10-year tenor US government bonds (US Treasury) at the close of Thursday, June 12, 2025, was recorded to have dropped to the level of 4.359 percent.
