PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) conducted a field visit to a facility owned by PT Polytama Propindo (Polytama) in Indramayu Regency, West Java. This activity is part of a series of project financing monitoring that has been distributed by IIF to Polytama in December 2024.
During the visit, the IIF team directly inspected the progress of the jetty construction and pipeline networks and the Propylene Tank facility with a capacity of 1 x 3,000 tons which is being built in the Polytama's plant site area. This project also includes the construction of other supporting infrastructure that will support the smooth operation and distribution of petrochemical products.
Funding IIF is aimed at strengthening the capacity and competitiveness of the national petrochemical industry. Through this project, Polytama's Polypropylene Plant production capacity was increased by 40,000 MTA, as well as supporting production expansion of up to 300,000 MTA which is currently in the process of heading to the EPC stage.
In addition to supporting an increase in production volume, this project also has a positive impact on supply chain efficiency, logistic integration, and the resilience of domestic strategic industries.
Chief Investment Officer IIF, M. Ramadhan Harahap (Idhan) who was also present at the visit, said that IIF's involvement in Polytama project financing reflects the company's commitment to support the development of the manufacturing sector's strategic infrastructure, especially the downstream industry which has high added value.
"This project is in line with our mandate to strengthen the national industrial structure through sustainable and broad-impact infrastructure financing. We appreciate Polytama's steps in building an integrated and efficient industrial ecosystem," he said, in a written statement, Thursday, June 12.
Meanwhile, Polytama management representatives welcomed the presence of IIF in this visit site as a form of transparency and close collaboration between the financing provider and the developer.
"The Jetty project is not just supporting infrastructure, but is an important part of the larger project development chain, namely the Balongan Polypropylene Development Project (PPB)," said Polytama President Director Joko Pranoto.

Umardin as Chief Risk Officer IIF. This activity is a symbol of the joint contribution of IIF and Polytama to environmental conservation and strengthening of sustainability values in industrial infrastructure development.
Both parties hope that this collaboration will not only accelerate the development of the national strategic industry, but also become a replicatable collaborative model between infrastructure financing institutions and the domestic manufacturing sector. With continuous synergy and commitment, this project is expected to be able to provide long-term economic benefits and strengthen the independence of the Indonesian industry.
