Pertamina Launches Pertamax Green 95 In Central Java

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) launched Pertamax Green 95 for the Central Java region.

The launch of green fuel coincides with the momentum of World Environment Day.

The launch was carried out with the initial distribution of Pertamax Green 95 products at 3 Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in the Central Java Regional area, one of which was located at the Gas Station Coco Pertamina 41,502.02 in Semarang City, Central Java.

With the start of marketing this product in Central Java, until now Pertamina has 119 gas stations that sell Pertamax Green 95 products where the areas are spread across DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, Central Java, and East Java.

Pertamax Green 95 which is marketed through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's Subholding Commercial & Trading is an environmentally friendly type of high-quality fuel that contains Research Octane Number (RON) 95 which is mixed with bioethenol 5 percent plant-based, such as sugar cane, which produces lower emissions and is more environmentally friendly.

Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said Pertamax Green 95 products involve local farmers and the national bioenergy industry, so that these products not only contribute to reducing carbon emissions, but also encourage a green economy and national energy independence by utilizing the supply of bioethenol from within the country.

"We invite the public to be part of the change, because every liter of Pertamax Green 95 used is a direct contribution to a better environment," said Simon, Thursday, June 5.

Acting President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, added that the Pertamax Green 95 product has been officially presented to the Indonesian people since July 2023 and continues to gradually expand its distribution network.

The expansion of this environmentally friendly fuel distribution also aims to strengthen the local-based green energy supply chain.

"We want to create a double impact, namely reducing carbon emissions and encouraging green economic growth. We are targeting Pertamax Green 95 to be present at 150 gas stations by the end of 2025," said Ega.

In Semarang, Pertamax Green 95 products can now be purchased at Pertamina 41,502.02 gas stations on Jl. Sisingamangaraja, SPBU 44,501,44 Jl. Moch. Ichsan and SPBU 44,502.32 Jl. Kompol Soekanto.
