JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has regulated street class rules which are also related to Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) vehicle control.
The regulation is stated in the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) Number 332/KPTS/M/2025, namely the Determination of Road Class Based on the Use of Roads and Smooth Roads and Road Transportation on Primary Arterial Roads and Primary Collectors Streets.
This was conveyed by the Director of Systems and Strategies for the Implementation of Roads and Bridges of the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works Reiza Setiawan at the Opening of Regional Consultation (Konreg) of the Ministry of Public Works in 2025 at the Public Works Auditorium, Jakarta, Friday, May 9.
"(The document) that you signed in early March is also the basis for later control of ODOL," he said.
Reiza explained that the Ministry of Public Works has socialized this to the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas), Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) of the Indonesian Police, Academics and Associations of Logistics Entrepreneurs and Transport Associations on May 2.
"And yesterday, we also met with the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development (IPK), hopefully in the future there can be more concrete follow-up," he said.
Therefore, the task of the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works will socialize the preparation of road class for regional roads.
The plan is that this is a national logistics line that is being drafted by the Presidential Instruction (Inpres).

"This can also be a reference for the preparation of regional roads. So that overall, logistics lines with ODOL vehicles, both for plantations, agriculture and others can be arranged more easily because there are rules. Of course, this also needs effort from each ministry involved there," he said.
He said that his party would carry out the next socialization for all local governments (Pemda) in Indonesia this May.
"We will carry out socialization to the local government from May 21 to May 23, divided into three stages in all existing local governments," he concluded.
