DPR Sahkan Pagu Efektif Kementerian PU Jadi Rp73,76 Triliun Tahun Ini

JAKARTA - Commission V of the DPR RI has approved the addition of the effective ceiling of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) to Rp73.76 trillion for 2025.

The PU Ministry's budget ceiling for 2025 was affected by efficiency from Rp110.95 trillion to Rp29.57 trillion.

The efficiency then experienced reconstruction, bringing the Ministry of Public Works budget to IDR 50.48 trillion as of February 13, 2025.

Then, there is an additional budget of around Rp. 23 trillion from the figure that has been ratified by the DPR. The PU Ministry's budget is also Rp. 73.76 trillion as of March 2025.

"Now we first ratify the budget of the Ministry of Public Works from the original Rp50,483,166,613 to Rp73,758,287,212 or get an additional Rp23,275,170,599," said Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus in a Working Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 7.

Lasarus advised that the additional budget should be mainly used to carry out road preservation or repair throughout Indonesia.

"Of course we hope that the Minister we carry out this preservation will be evenly distributed, sir. All regions, all islands from Sabang to Merauke, from Talaut to Rote Island," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, said that the additional budget of the Ministry of Public Works to Rp73.76 trillion was obtained by the Ministry of Public Works through a proposal to the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) on March 13 to relax the opening and blocking of the Ministry of Public Works budget in 2025.

As a result, the Ministry of Finance opened a block, bringing the Ministry of Public Works budget to IDR 73.76 trillion on March 25, 2025.

In the future, Dody assessed that the Ministry of Public Works budget also still has the potential to return to the initial ceiling, which is IDR 110.95 trillion. This is the result of discussions with the Ministry of Finance.

"The Ministry of Public Works has not changed or remains Rp110.95 trillion, but most of them are still in the most massive (blocked) position. Then in certain cases, according to the direction of the President and in accordance with the request from the Minister of Public Works which has been approved by the President, several blocks will be opened," said Dody.

"And that was then seen at the opening of the first phase of the block, which was February 13, 2025," he concluded.
