JAKARTA - Indonesia and the Australian Northern Territory (NT) government are pushing for strengthening strategic cooperation and exploring new collaborations in the mining sector through a business conference in Darwin, Australia, on Friday, May 2.
The business conference, which was jointly held by the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, the Indonesian Consulate in Darwin and the Northern Territory Government, brought together stakeholders in the mining sector from both countries.

The NT authorities have also held a field visit to the Mt. Todd Gold Project on Thursday (1/5).

On the same occasion, the Director of Mineral Concession Development of the Director General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Republic of Indonesia, Cecep Yasin, emphasized Indonesia's commitment to encouraging collaboration in the critical mineral sector with various parties, including Australia.
Director Cecep also conveyed the current conditions of cooperation as well as the direction of developing cooperation in the future at the business conference in Darwin.
