D-3 Lebaran, 671,790 People Crossed Into Sumatra

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Merak Command Post, Banten, recorded as many as 671,790 people crossing from Java Island to Sumatra Island from D-10 to D-3 Lebaran.

"It was recorded that 671,790 people, an increase of 8 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 624,117 people," said ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin quoting Antara.

It was recorded that the number of ships operating was 53 ships.

The realization of the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra on D-3 reached 170,994 people, an increase of 1 percent, compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 169,170 people.

Meanwhile, the realization of two-wheeled vehicles that had crossed on D-3 reached 21,863 units, down 1 percent compared to last year's realization reaching 22,061 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles reached 17,988 units, an increase of 2 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 17,710 units.

Then, the total trucks that crossed reached 1,534 units, an increase of 35 percent of units compared to the realization of the same period last year of 1,139 units.

Meanwhile, the total bus crossing reached 945 units, an increase of 3 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 916 units.

The total number of vehicles recorded 42,330 units that had crossed from Java to Sumatra on D-3 or an increase of 1 percent compared to the realization of the period with last year's 41,826 units.

"And for the total number of vehicles that have crossed, 152,066 units were recorded, an increase of 3 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 148,304 units," he said.
