JAKARTA The government is working together in an effort to accelerate President Prabowo Subianto's priority program cinema, namely free nutritious food (MBG) by increasing the number of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG).
Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi, said that in supporting the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to make the program a success, his party would form human resources (HR). He conveyed this at the inauguration of the National Police SPPG in Jakarta, Monday, March 17.
"Earlier, the National Police Chief's vision was extraordinary, the target until July there could be a hundred SPPGs managed by the National Police. This is so that the target of 82.9 million MBG recipients from the president can be achieved. Then like the three keys to MBG's success that were conveyed by the Head of BGN earlier, one of which was HR, we at the National Food Agency also supported this effort," he said.
Badanas also contributes to the curriculum regarding Fresh Food Safety Guarantee and Improvement of Food Diversity in the Managing and Training of Indonesian Development Mobilization Scholarships (SPPI) batch-3 in the MBG program.
According to him, food safety is fresh and increasing food diversity is very important to be ensured in daily operations. His party will periodically monitor and collect sampling of fresh food raw materials used in the MBG program.
Then a rapid test kit was carried out. The total achievement of the fresh food rapid test carried out by Bapanas with the local government in 2024, has increased compared to the previous year.
According to the Integrated Fresh Food Supervision Information System (SIPSAT), in 2023, the total rapid test that has been carried out is 3,047. Then, throughout 2024, the number of rapid tests increased 116 percent to a total of 6,591
"We at the National Food Agency as OKKP-P (Central Food Safety Competent Authority) and together with local governments as OKKP-D (Regional Food Safety Competent Authority) will carry out mapping and monitoring of food safety in MBG, including suppliers," said Arief.
At that moment, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said, in supporting the MBG program, a total of 20 SPPGs had been launched.

"And thank God, for the initial launch we carried out at 4 SPPGs at the Headquarters level and 16 SPPGs at the Priority Police level. Of course, this does not stop here and of course we will continue to develop this," said Listyo.
Then, from May to July, it will be built again up to 100 SPPG. "More or less we will continue to add up to one hundred (SPPG) and then we will add it according to need," he continued.
Meanwhile, Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said, there are three keys to the success of the MBG program in line with the acceleration steps being taken by the government.
"The first is the budget, it doesn't need to be discussed because it has been prepared by the President. Second, HR. We have studied human resources and we are adding them to be complete and will only be completed in July. The third, the most crucial is infrastructure. With this infrastructure we develop a network of cooperation, including the Police," he said.
