Provide Ease Of JHT Claims, BPJS Employment Opens Priority Services At PT Sritex

JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan affirms its commitment to protecting workers' rights by providing convenience through priority services for Old Age Guarantee Claims (JHT) for employees of PT Sritex who are affected by Termination of Work Relations (PHK).

This step is a tangible manifestation of the presence of the state through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in ensuring the welfare of workers in the midst of difficult situations.

President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Anggoro Eko Cahyo said that the service provided was a form of concern in seeing the current condition.

"BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is also concerned about the conditions experienced by PT Sritex which resulted in layoffs for thousands of its workers. As a form of the presence of the state and the responsibility of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, we ensure that all employees of PT Sritex will get their rights, especially in disbursement of JHT and Job Loss Guarantee (JKP). We want to ensure that the affected workers continue to receive proper social protection," he said in a written statement, Friday, March 7.

Based on the data, more than 10 thousand PT Sritex workers and their subsidiaries are registered as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants in five protection programs, namely Work Accident Insurance (JKK), Death Security (JKM), Old Age Security (JHT), Pension Security (JP) and Job Loss Guarantee (JKP).

Sebagai bagian dari upaya memastikan kelancaran proses klaim, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan telah berkoordinasi dengan manajemen PT Sritex untuk melaksanakan layanan klaim JHT secara prioritas sebanyak 1.000 pekerja perhari, pelayanan yang diberikan dibuka sejak pukul 9 pagi hingga pukul 1 siang.

This initiative aims to accelerate the disbursement process and provide convenience for workers in accessing their rights so that they are free to worry.

In addition, for workers who meet the requirements for JKP claims, they can register through the SIAPkerja application of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia and will benefit in the form of cash benefits of 60 percent of the wages reported for a maximum of six months from BPJS Employment, the benefits of job training to improve skills and benefits of access to the work market to help them get new jobs that the Ministry of Manpower will provide both.

"We are committed to ensuring optimal service for PT Sritex workers in disbursing JHT and other benefits. All of these benefits are expected to be able to keep workers and their families decent and of course we also hope to help with financial needs in Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H," added Anggoro Eko Cahyo.

Furthermore, the Commander of the Task Force PT Sritex Supartodi expressed his appreciation for the good cooperation from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan which fulfills the wishes of all workers that the JHT funds can be received before celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

"I appreciate especially the state and BPJS Employment, we all employees feel happy and happy, because that is what is expected to be approaching Eid. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's response is good, thank God everything went smoothly and before Eid, employee JHT funds could be accepted," said Supartodi.

Closing the visit, the Regent of Ethics, Suryani, also said that the service provided to all workers affected by layoffs was hope in the midst of an alarming situation.

"Alhamdulillah, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan's response is extraordinary, so that what is the responsibility of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan can be realized by disbursing old age guarantees. I thank BPJS Ketenagakerjaan who is very professional, so that workers can be happy to welcome Eid and there is hope that they will receive," concluded Etik Suryani.

Elsewhere, the Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jakarta Grogol Branch Office, Multanti, emphasized that this priority service is a tangible form of concern for workers affected by layoffs, so that they can immediately get their rights without obstacles.

"BPJS Ketenagakerjaan understands that this situation is not easy for the affected workers. So, we are trying our best to provide services that are fast, transparent, and efficient. We want to ensure that all participants get their rights without having to face complicated procedures," Multanti explained.
