President Director (Managing Director) Hutama Karya, Budi Harto said the investment was needed to build four toll roads including Jambi-Regat, Rengat-Pekanbaru, Dumai-Rantau Prapat, and Rantau Prapat-Kisaran.
"The total investment is estimated at IDR 161 trillion," he said in a hearing (RDP) with Commission VI of the DPR RI, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 5.
Budi said that until now, the business scheme for the four main toll roads that will connect Lampung to Medan has not been determined.
"It has not been determined whether to use a tariff scheme, service-based periodic payment schemes, construction support schemes, or other alternative schemes," said Budi.
Even so, Budi said that his party is targeting the construction of the backbone until Pekanbaru can be completed by 2029. Meanwhile, Pekanbaru to Medan is targeted for completion in 2031.
