JAKARTA - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT Pelni (Persero) has provided accommodation services for the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period.
Welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, Pelni prepared 781,723 tickets.
A total of 25 passenger ships and 30 pioneer ships with a total passenger capacity of 60,212 seats were prepared by PELNI as transportation for Lebaran 2025.
The ships reached up to 230 ports throughout Indonesia.
The period for the PELNI Eid transportation will start from March 16 to April 16, 2025.
PELNI Passenger Transport Business Director Nuraini Dessy explained that a number of preparations had been made to support the comfort of passengers.
Our preparations include ship ramp checks, fleet repairs, and safety workshops to ensure service reliability during the period March 16 to April 16.
"Tickets can be ordered starting from D-30 to make it easier for people to plan trips," said Dessy.
In terms of safety, PELNI provides complete safety equipment for 25 passenger ships, covering 216 lifestyles, 1,716 life-rafts, 70,671 life-jackets, 376 life-buoys and 26 MES with a total capacity of 67,892 people.
Meanwhile, for 30 pioneer ships, 84 lifeboats, 600 life-rafts, 16,253 life-jackets and 307 life-buoys are available which can accommodate 19,438 people.
This facility ensures the safety of passengers during Eid homecoming and homecoming trips.
"Not only focusing on safety, we also continue to improve passenger comfort with modern facilities on ships, such as polyclinics, restaurants, minimarkets, mini theaters, as well as additional new services in the form of commercial TV channels and WiFi," added Dessy.
