JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) kembali won the Gold Company Performance Assessment Program (Proper) from the Ministry of Environment (KLH).

Irwan Hidayat said that the Gold Proper achieved was the result of Sido Muncul's commitment to preserving the environment.

According to him, the company is working to reduce the hyacinth population and turn it into a new, environmentally friendly fuel.
"We are trying to overcome the hyacinth problem in Rawa Pening and make it a new source of energy," said Irwan.
In addition, Sido Muncul also succeeded in carrying out energy efficiency by reducing the use of Bioethenol by 12.9 tons and successfully preserving 16 eagles in Sido Muncul Agrotourism.
On the other hand, the company is also trying to save water by using advanced technology in the production process, including in the process of cleaning in place to save 3 m3 of clean water in the Tolak Angin Liquid product.
Sido Muncul also focuses on using renewable energy, such as solar panels and utilizing factory waste for burning that produces biomass energy.
"We almost 100 percent use new renewable energy and manage waste independently without burdening the government," added Irwan.
