JAKARTA - The Bandung Vocational and Productivity Education Center (BBPVP) in collaboration with the Indonesian Young Innovation Foundation has successfully organized two sustainability-based training programs, namely Basic Organic Waste Processing Training and Basic Organic Fertilizer Development Training.

This program aims to equip the younger generation with skills in the green jobs sector and encourage more responsible environmental management practices.

The first training, Basic Organic Waste Processing, was held on February 4 February 8, 2025 at Kang Pisman School, Bandung City DLH. Participants get material about basic organic waste processing techniques to make them more environmentally friendly and how to reduce pollution from household waste.

Furthermore, Basic Organic Fertilizer Making Training took place on February 8 19 2025 at Jasmine Waste Bank, Central Antapani. This training focuses more on utilizing organic waste that has been processed to be used as high-quality fertilizer with economic value.

Restu Andini from the Indonesian Young Innovation Foundation emphasized that this program is part of a sustainable effort to build sustainability-based skills for the younger generation.

We believe that good waste management is not only an effort to preserve the environment, but also opens up opportunities in green work. Through this training, participants are equipped with green skills that allow them to manage organic waste effectively and even develop it into a sustainability-based business," he said, in a written statement, Monday, February 24.

As a vocational-based program, participants are not only given theory but also an opportunity to practice directly in the field. Pak Trio, as a training trainer, appreciated the enthusiasm of participants in understanding and applying the knowledge provided.

We see that participants are very enthusiastic in studying organic waste management and fertilizer manufacturing. It is hoped that the skills they get can be applied in daily life, both for personal needs and community development," he explained.

Through this training, BBPVP Bandung and the Indonesian Young Innovation Foundation strive to expand access to skills training in the sustainability sector. It is hoped that more and more young people will have expertise in waste processing and sustainable agriculture, so that they can create innovative solutions to environmental problems in Indonesia.
