JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) continues to accelerate the completion of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS), one of which is the Betung 'Tempino' Jambi (Betejam) Toll Road Project Section IV which connects Tempino and Ness Interchange (SS).

This toll road is an important part of the second phase of the construction of a toll road connecting various regions in Southern Sumatra.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said that currently construction and land acquisition progress has shown significant progress.

"Until the end of January 2025, construction progress reached 68.28 percent, with land acquisition of 99.77 percent. With this progress, the main line with a layer of hard concrete (Rigid Pavement) of 9.23 km has been successfully built," said Adjib in a written statement, Wednesday, February 19.

Adjib said that a number of main structures had been installed, namely the girder beam at the STA 150+187 Underpass Bridge (JUP) which crossed the Palembang National Road Jambi.

Installation of this girder beam has been completed without accident or property damage, with the status of Zero Accident and Zero Damage Property.

Strict traffic management is implemented during the processor beam installation process. The open-closed lane scheme is implemented from 22.00 WIB to 04.30 WIB, with a closing time of about 30 minutes and a lane opening time of 60 minutes.

This process is coordinated with various related parties, including BPJN Jambi, Dirlantas, Polres, Polsek and the local Transportation Service.

"Installation of the girder beam is carried out in stages for 5 days, from 10 to 14 February 2025. A total of 14 girder beams have been installed in a relatively short time and without incident. So, this work can be considered successful and as planned," he said.

The installation of this girder beam provides great benefits for the smooth construction of the Betejam Section IV Toll Road, especially in connecting it with the already operating Betung 'Tempino' Toll Road

With this connection, transportation becomes more efficient, supports the mobility of goods and people and facilitates the economic flow along toll roads.

In addition, main facilities such as rest areas are also being built. Later it will be equipped with a mosque and food court which can add comfort for toll road users.

"The presence of the toll road connecting Pijoan National Road is expected to be completed on time and provide optimal benefits for the community. Once it is connected to Section III, the travel time which initially took 3 hours can be shortened to only 30 minutes and provides optimal benefits for the community," said Adjib.

According to Adjib, his party ensures that all resources, both materials and labor, will be prepared optimally so that construction can be completed on time.

"The Betung Toll Road Project Tempino Jambi Section IV will make a big contribution to the smooth running of inter-provincial traffic and boost the regional economy," he concluded.
