JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) plans to launch a complaint system for the public to report any rogue developers who provide uninhabitable houses (RTLH).
It is known, the government through the Ministry of PKP has distributed financial assistance to subsidized houses to developers through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program.
The Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of PKP Heri Germany said the system would be launched next week.
"I will give a telephone number for the complaint facilities, so that it can make it easier for the public. In the near future, it will be launched next week," Heri said at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, February 13.
Heri added that one of the conditions that must be met by the public to file a complaint is to include data and facts.
According to him, the reports or complaints to be submitted cannot be based on assumptions alone.
"Yes, the name of the complaint must be accompanied by data and facts. Do not let the complaint be slanderous. There is such a thing as Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS), right, there are a lot of people involved," said Heri.
"For example, the naughty facilitator turns out to be cutting money or asking for money or (more to the aspect) of the building. So, reducing quality, yes, people have the right to report 'pak happens like this'. But, it must be with data and facts, yes, don't just suspect or say that," he concluded.
Previously, the Ministry of PKP found at least 14 developers in Jabodetabek who built uninhabitable housing.
This was discovered after the Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait (Ara) in the last few weeks conducted a review of subsidized housing that was included in the FLPP category and found at least 14 rogue developers in Jabodetabek.

It is known that the rogue developers built unfunctionable houses, ranging from undamped land, poor provision of sanitation channels to imperfect water disposal.
In addition, a number of these developers also do not pay attention to building structures because they are easily fragile or cracked walls.
With these findings, the Ministry of PKP plans to report the matter to the Indonesian Financial Supervisory Agency (BPK) to conduct an audit with a specific purpose.
