JAKARTA - Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Erika Retnowati revealed that her party found a truck belonging to the Indonesian National Army (TNI) which was caught on CCTV cameras by gas stations filling subsidized diesel fuel.

Not only filling fuel by the TNI, but Erika said that her party also found a number of violations such as selling subsidized fuel to consumers using jerry cans that were not accompanied by a letter of recommendation.
Another violation was also found in West Sumatra. BPH Migas confirmed an unnatural distribution, namely the purchase of repeated with a different QR Code in one Toyota Innova car.
"We found an unnatural distribution with repeated purchases with different QR Codes to innovated cars, then there were also several trucks," he added.
In addition to utilizing CCTV, he continued, BPH Migas also carried out direct supervision to the field which was carried out based on public complaints and print and electronic media coverage.

To tighten supervision, Erika said that her party had also opened a complaint hotline for the public through the official WhatsApp application.
The complaints that came in until 2024 reached 3,000 complaints related to the potential misuse of subsidized fuel distribution, with details of 2,487 complaints in 2024 and 638 complaints in 2023.
