JAKARTA - KAI Group recorded a positive performance on passenger transportation during January 2025 by serving 39,083,129 passengers. This figure increased 6.59 percent compared to January 2024, where KAI Group served 36,666,053 passengers.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba detailed that the number of 39,083,129 passengers consisted of 4,560,523 passengers managed by KAI, 30,831,133 passengers managed by KAI Commuter, 587,186 passengers of KAI Airport, 530,974 passengers of betteresh managed by KCIC, 392,423 passengers of South Sumatra LRT.
"2,146,859 passengers on the Jabodebek LRT, 17,943 passengers on the Makassar-Parepare train, and 16,088 passengers managed by KAI Wisata," said Anne, Saturday, February 8.
Anne added, a number of KAI Group services in the January 2025 period experienced an increase on average, such as KAI Wisata, which served 16,088 passengers, an increase of 57.62 percent compared to the same period in the previous year, namely 10,207 passengers, bettersh managed by KCIC served 530,974 passengers, an increase of 36.8 percent compared to the same period in 2024 by serving 388,131 passengers, the Jabodebek LRT served 2,146,859 passengers, an increase of 78.85 percent compared to the same period, namely 1,200,399 passengers.
He added that a number of other KAI Group services experienced an increase in passengers, namely KAI Airport which served 587,186 passengers, an increase of 35.01 percent compared to January 2024, namely 434,912 passengers, on the island of Sumatra there was a South Sumatra LRT service which was increasingly in demand by the public by serving 392,423 passengers or an increase of 21.14 percent, KAI-run long-distance and local trains also increased by 15 percent by serving 4,560,523 passengers compared to the previous year period, namely 3,967,660 passengers.
"Then the Commuter Line and Local Train managed by KAI Commuter also increased by serving 30,831,133 passengers or an increase of 1.69 percent compared to the January 2024 period of 30,318,769 passengers," added Anne.

Meanwhile, OTP arrivals also increased to 96.05 percent compared to 2023 which reached 93.98 percent," said Anne.
