JAKARTA - President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo won the 2022 The Best Industry Marketing Champion.

This appreciation is given for the successful transformation that he has put forward in the company's current performance.

The award was given by MarkPlus, Inc at the Indonesia Marketing Convention (IMC) 2022 at the Ritz Carlton Pacific Place Hotel Jakarta, Thursday, December 8, 2022.

After receiving the award, Darmawan Prasodjo expressed his gratitude for the 2022 Champion Marketing Industry award.

According to him, this award is the result of the hard work of all people in the PLN ranks and is a whip for PLN to be even better.

"This award is an encouragement for us and is a whip for us so that this achievement that has been inscribed can be strengthened, strengthened so that PLN in the future will be more agile," Darmawan said in a written statement, Thursday, December 8.

He explained, in accordance with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Mr. Erick Thohir, during the past 2.5 years PLN carried out transformations through digitization in various aspects, from generating, transmission, finance, procurement to services to customers.

"The business process was previously complicated, complex, we dismantled, we summarized, and we simplified it," he said.

Now, Darmawan continued, PLN is much better and healthier than 2.5 years ago.

He said that PLN managed to cut debt in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, PLN will also succeed in increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.

"Our electricity system is much more reliable than last year's electricity system. Our finances are much healthier. Our customer service system is much better orientation to provide premium services to our customers," said Darmawan.

He said, customer satisfaction also increased. This is reflected in the rating of the PLN Mobile application which was originally 2.5 to 4.8.
