JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank is said to continue to strengthen its commitment to create a sustainable export ecosystem so that it can contribute to improving the national economy.

Head of the LPEI Consulting Services Division, Gerald Grisanto, said. The foreign exchange village in question has about 20 shrimp farmers spread across 4 sub-districts and 6 villages in Situbondo Regency, East Java.

"As a follow-up, we provide a production tool in the form of a mill to the pond as a form of assistance from the production aspect in order to increase production capacity," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, December 7.

According to Gerald, the production equipment provided by LPEI is 10 units with 80 beneficiaries.

"The water cylinders provided function to increase the production capacity of farmers by reducing the potential for shrimp harvest failure because if one mill is damaged there will be another mill as a back-up, so that oxygen circulation in the pond is still maintained," he said.

Gerald added that LPEI will continue to monitor with PT Panca Mitra Multi Perdana as a business partner for shrimp farmers in the assistance of the Shrimp Cluster Foreign Exchange Village that has been carried out.

"As a form of support to strengthen national exports, LPEI will be actively providing continuous assistance through the Foreign Exchange Village program in areas with export potential commodities. We do this to create certainty of farmers' crops and develop product capacity and competitiveness," he stressed.
