JAKARTA - The East Java Provincial Government (East Java Provincial Government) through the "Business Gathering & Mini Expo" program with entrepreneurs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has agreed on export contracts for various commodities or medium-sized small business products (SMEs) worth IDR 16.4 billion.

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa revealed that the "Business Gathering & Mini Expo" activity in Jeddah was an effort to encourage economic growth, especially for SMEs.

"We are indeed targeting the very strategic Jeddah market so that SME products, especially in the field of food and beverages, can get access in Saudi Arabia," Khofifah said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 30.

The activity, which was facilitated by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah, on November 29, also involved the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) of East Java.
