Banking Industry Appreciation, LPS Holding The 2022 Banking Award

JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) for the first time held the 2022 LPS Banking Award as a form of appreciation to the banking industry for supporting and playing an active role in advancing the financial industry to boost the national economy.

Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of LPS Purbaya Yudhi Sadives said that this excellent banking condition cannot be separated from the participation of banking industry players who run business well and are prudent.

"We really appreciate and thank the banking industry," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 30.

He explained, in general, national banking is currently in very good condition. One of the keys is the level of national banking capital which is thick. As of October 2022, CAR is at the level of 25.09 percent.

Bank intermediation in October 2022 also grew well, credit grew by 11.9 percent yoy. Likewise, Third Party Funds (DPK) also grew stable at the level of 9.4 percent in the same period.

"These two things show that funds from the banking sector have slowly returned to the real sector to drive the economy," he added.

LPS Executive Director of Surveillance, Audit and Statistics Priyanto Budi Nugroho explained, the LPS Banking Award 2022 has started since the data collection stage in October 2022, this judging stage is the judging stage for the category, the Most Active Bank in CSR, the Active Bank in Public Financial Literacy and the last is the Active Bank in Green Banking practice.

Then, for the other 2 categories determined by the Best Bank in Compliance with SCV and the Most Active Bank in the LPS Socialization Initiative.

The LPS Banking Award 2022 jury consists of, Executive Director of Surveillance, Audit and Statistics (LPS) Priyanto Budi Nugroho, President Director of Infobank Eko B. Supriyanto, Chairman of the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) Sutan Emir Hidayat, Chairman of the Association of Indonesian People's Credit Banks (Perbarindo) Joko Suyanto, Secretary General of the National Commercial Bank Association (PERbanas) Anika Faisal and Academics from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI) Telisa Aulia Felenti.

At this inaugural edition of the LPS Banking Award, the winners from 5 categories of competitions were obtained, namely:

1. The Most Active Bank in CSR Activities.
