Jokowi Confident That Economic Growth In The Third Quarter Of 2022 Is Above 5.44 Percent

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is optimistic that Indonesia's economic growth will be above 5.44 percent in the third quarter of 2022.

However, Jokowi said, this can be achieved if all parties work together.

"I still believe that in the third quarter we can still grow above this figure. The key is that we all have to be united, we all have to work together", Jokowi said at the launch of the Exclusive Partnership Movement for MSMEs Upgrading, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Monday, October 3rd.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that cooperation between large, small, and medium entrepreneurs also needs to be carried out so that the business sector in Indonesia becomes a great power.

"It is necessary that the name of Indonesia incorporated, the big and medium ones work together to collaborate to solve problems in the field concretely and tangibly", he said.

Furthermore, Jokowi emphasized that the current world economic situation is really in a bad position.

Therefore, according to Jokowi, all parties must have the same feeling. Moreover, Indonesia is currently facing difficult challenges.

Jokowi gave an example of handling the COVID-19 pandemic. He said COVID-19 could be overcome because of the cooperation between the private sector and the government from the central to the village level.

"I see everything working together, the government, the private sector from the center to the village all work together and thank God we finish this together, we must really stick together", he said.
