AP I Offers Former Selaparang Airport For The Drag Race Competition To Exhibition

PRAYA - PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport, West Nusa Tenggara, opened an offer to utilize the former Selaparang Airport for activities for the general public.

"In addition to music concert activities, ex-Selaparang Airport has also been used to hold healthy road activities and running competitions, drag bike and drag race championships, exhibition events, and other activities," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok, Rahmat Adil Indrawan quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 13.

The former Selaparang Airport has a very strategic location in the middle of Mataram City. Besides being close to several community activity centers and landmarks such as the NTB Governor's Office and the Mataram Mayor's Office.

In addition, the former Selaparang Airport is also not far from the Old Town of Ampenan, Mataram University, Siloam Hospital, Senggigi area, Lombok Epicentrum Mal, as well as the trade and business area of Cakranegara in Mataram City.

"The ex-Selaparang Airport covering an area of 58 hectares is perfect for all activities that are entertainment, sports, exhibitions, and community-based activities. For a two-wheeled and four-wheeled automotive sporting event, it can take advantage of the 2,100-long runway or runway marks at this former airport," he said.

To note, the Provinces of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and Lombok Island are getting more and more lively with various events, both local, national, and international scale. Sports events, exhibitions, music concerts, as well as attractions and other entertainment are increasingly present to greet the NTB public.

The latest is the concert of the top Indonesian music group, Slank. The concert, entitled "Metamorphes", was held at the ex-Seramanda Airport, Mataram City, Saturday, September 10.

Thousands of people packed the area of the former airport owned by PT Angkasa Pura I. A month earlier, Isyana Sarasvati and Kunto Aji also entertained their fans at the same location in the "Circle Line Festival 2022", Saturday, August 13, 2022.
