"I am very happy with the commitment of Krakatau Steel and Posco for their investment in Indonesia. This expansion of investment will certainly contribute greatly to the growth of the steel industry in Indonesia in the future", said Bahlil, in an official statement, Thursday, July 28.

"We will facilitate and provide full support so that this project runs smoothly. We will help take care of the permit. If there is a problem, don't hesitate to report it to us", he continued.

Meanwhile, the President Director of Krakatau Steel, Silmy Karim, said he was very pleased with the government's support in realizing the expansion of PT Krakatau Posco, which is a joint venture between Krakatau Steel and Posco.

Silmy said that in this MoU Krakatau Steel and Posco agreed to invest in expanding the production capacity of PT Krakatau Posco which is planned to reach 10 million tons per year, both upstream and downstream products.
