New First Generation! Ministry Of Industry Opens Free Lecture Service Bond System: Work Immediately After Graduating

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is reported to have opened registration for the selection of new student candidates at the Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic from July 1-31 2022.

The Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry, Arus Gunawan, said this opportunity offered 100 percent free lectures until graduation as well as official ties with job distribution to various industrial companies.

“The Ministry of Industry provides free lecture opportunities at the Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic, starting from registration to graduation. Later, graduates of this polytechnic will be able to work immediately after graduation because the Ministry of Industry has established collaborative work ties with various industrial companies," he said in a press statement quoted on Wednesday, July 13.

According to Gunawan, all first batch students of the Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic are exempt from tuition fees, so they don't have to pay registration fees, semester fees, building fees, and other tuition fees until they graduate.

The Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic is an educational unit under the Ministry of Industry's BPSDMI. This school offers a Diploma Three program which is divided into Petrochemical Industrial Process Technology, Petrochemical Industrial Machinery Technology, and Petrochemical Industrial Instrumentation Technology.

"The Polytechnic will accept 96 first-generation students, or 32 students in each Diploma Three (D3) program," he said.

Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic students will undergo lectures for six semesters, consisting of the first three semesters on campus, two semesters in industry, and returning to campus in the last semester.

This dual system education allows students to directly enter the industry with the theoretical knowledge gained in class.

To date, the Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic has collaborated with 14 industry partners and industry associations.

With a work bond, polytechnic graduates can immediately work in one of these industrial partners.

Registration for prospective students at the Banten Petrochemical Industry Polytechnic will take place from 1-31 July 2022.

Furthermore, applicants will take a written test, consisting of academic and English tests on August 3, 2022, followed by psychological tests and interviews on August 13-14 2022.
