JAKARTA - PT Catur Sentosa Adiprana Tbk (CSAP) which owns the distribution network of Building Materials, Chemicals, and FMCG as well as Modern Retail Building Materials & Home Improvement Mitra10 and Home Furnishing Atria, inaugurated the 44th Mitra10 Superstore in Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta.

CSAP met the target of opening the 3rd new Superstore out of 4 new stores in 2022. Mitra10 Pondok Bambu occupies an area of 7,800 m2 with a building area of 5,500m2 including a Selling Area of 3,883 m2 and a warehouse area of 1,100m2.

This superstore is the 3rd new store expansion which was inaugurated this year from the target of 4 new stores and 1 store remodeling. The choice of this location is to strengthen the Mitra10 market in the East Jakarta area which previously existed in Kalimalang and Kota Harapan Indah.

"The choice of the eastern area of Jakarta is also inseparable from the potential for property development. The number of residential areas in the surrounding area is considered appropriate. Because Mitra10 is targeting residential/property owners as the target market," said CSAP's Corporate Secretary, Idrus H. Widjajakusuma, in a statement, Wednesday 29 June.

Idrus said that the existence of Mitra10 in addition to being closer to its customers also helped local and imported producers/distributors to do business in Indonesia. With 44 store locations spread across strategic cities in Indonesia, they have additional options for the distribution of goods by utilizing the Mitra10 network and CSAP distribution.

"Without having to open stores, branch offices, or warehouses in each city so that it can increase cost-effectiveness," he explained.

Erick Koswara, GM Marketing Communication of Mitra10 explained, the opening of Mitra10 stores in various cities in Indonesia is PT Catur Mitra Sejati Sentosa's ongoing commitment to being closer, and at the same time being a community partner in renovating or building houses.

"With the opening of Mitra10 in Pondok Bambu to relocate Mitra10 in Pekayon, so currently we have a total of 44 stores in 25 cities in Indonesia. The hope is that Mitra10 in Pondok Bambu can become a community destination in meeting the needs of shopping for building materials and home supplies," explained Erick.

For information, CSAP's consolidated revenue grew 12 percent from IDR 3.51 trillion in the 2021 quarter to IDR 3.93 trillion in the first three months of 2022. Even the retail segment in the first quarter of 2022 grew by 16 percent.

This segment is a growth engine for the company because it is able to grow consistently in double digits and has a larger margin than the distribution segment.

Currently, the contribution of the retail segment accounts for 37 percent of consolidated revenues, while the distribution segment contributes 63 percent.

The solid revenue performance has made the bottom line also recorded a positive achievement. Net profit attributable to controlling shareholders grew by 25 percent to IDR 79 billion compared to the same position in 2021, which was IDR 63 billion.
