PLN Supply 1,000 Megawatts Of Electricity For Mongondow Industrial Estate

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) will meet the electricity needs of new investments in the Mongondow Industrial Estate (Kimong), North Sulawesi, so that it can attract investors to invest in the area.

General Manager of PLN Main Unit for North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo (UIW Suluttenggo) Leo Basuki said, in the development of the Kimong Industrial Estate project, PLN is committed to maintaining reliable electrical energy availability, starting from the development project until it is fully operational according to investor needs.

The projected electricity demand in this area reaches 1,000 megawatts (MW).

"We are ready to provide the electricity needed and not only that we provide a renewable energy certificate (REC) service as part of the new renewable energy campaign by PLN," Basuki said in a statement to the media, Thursday, May 19.

The development of the Kimong industrial area has the potential to encourage regional and national economic development with the existing downstream program.

According to Kentjana, the guarantee of reliable electricity supply from PLN has convinced Kimong investors to firmly invest in the project, which aims to make Bolaang Mongondow one of the mecca of industry in Indonesia.
