Waskita Karya Earns New Contract Worth IDR 128 Billion From A Power Plant Project In West Sumatra

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) through its business unit, the EPC Division (Engineering, Procurement & Construction Division) has won a new contract for the construction of the Bayang Nyalo Mini-hydro Power Plant (PLTM) with a capacity of 2 x 3 megawatts in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra.

"Hopefully the signing of the contract for the Bayang Nyalo PLTM project with PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro will be facilitated and smooth and everything will be made easier during the implementation of the project and can make a positive contribution and blessing to Waskita," said Waskita Karya's Director of Operation III, Gunadi in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, November 29.

This PLTM will utilize the flow of the Bayang Nyalo River with a watershed area of 98.50 square kilometers. The scope of work consists of civil, hydromechanical, and electrical works excluding turbines and generators (supply by owner). The work itself is divided into three main packages.

According to the Senior Vice President of the AS EPC Division, Wisnu Wijayanto, the source of funding for the development comes from PT Bayang Nyalo Hidro with the type of monthly payment in accordance with the progress of each month.

It is also said that the plan for the construction of this PLTM will be carried out with an implementation time of 660 days or 22 months.

"With the condition of the land status that has been acquired 100 percent, and has experience in working on Hydro Power projects, we are optimistic that we can complete the project with good quality, on time, and with a capacity guarantee in accordance with the Detail Engineering Design (DED) agreed between Waskita and Bayang Nyalo Hydro," said Vishnu.
