Openings For Sri Mulyani's Subordinates: TVRI Gets IDR 31.7 Billion, RRI IDR 3.8 Billion To Broadcast PON Papua

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) said that the Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP) Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) was one of the parties actively involved in the Papua National Sports Week (PON) event this year.

This was conveyed directly by the Director of the Budget for Human Development and Culture of the Ministry of Finance Purwanto in an online press conference today.

According to him, TVRI was appointed as the spearhead of the government in broadcasting the match and also information about the Papua PON. Meanwhile, the Papua PON budget allocation for TVRI is IDR 31.7 billion

"TVRI must deploy journalists and others, including equipment, and must broadcast from four locations for the event and that must be supported," he said, Friday, October 8.

Purwanto added that the disbursement of funds is also part of the government's support so that TVRI can participate in broadcasting the National Paralympic Week or Peparnas. Just so you know, the 16th Peparnas this time will also be held in Papua after the PON is complete.

In detail, Purwanto explained, Rp. 7 billion of which was the budget for the Papua PON news broadcast, Rp. 1.9 billion for the Peparnas news broadcast, and another Rp. 22.8 billion was the budget for facilities and infrastructure for production and broadcasting techniques supporting PON and Peparnas.

In addition to TVRI, Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) is said to have helped broadcast the PON event with a budget of Rp. 3.8 billion. For information, the funds disbursed to the state media are part of the total Rp. 3.5 trillion in the Papua PON budget this year.
