BP Tapera Has Disbursed Rp1.83 Trillion Of PNS Taperum Funds As Of August

JAKARTA - The People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) has disbursed housing savings funds (Taperum) for civil servants (PNS) of Rp1.83 trillion until August 19, 2021. The number of recipients of these funds is equivalent to 42 percent of the total target recipients.

Deputy Commissioner for the Disbursement of Tapera Funds, Eko Ariantoro said that this fourth phase of disbursement was again in collaboration with PT Taspen (Persero). He said that this step was intended to speed up and make it easier for retired civil servants to obtain their rights.

Previously, in the third phase, Taperum funds to retired civil servants were disbursed in the period January to April 2021. The number of recipients reached 48,065 people with a total fund of Rp229 billion.

"BP Tapera has disbursed funds amounting to Rp1.83 trillion to 432,208 retired civil servants and their heirs, while disbursement is still ongoing using a banking mechanism that collaborates with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI)," he said in a written statement, quoted on Saturday, August 21.

In the midst of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, civil servants who have entered their retirement period do not need to come or send files to the office to submit claims. Eko said this was because all processes could be accessed through online services, including the validation and verification processes.

After that, said Eko, the pension funds will be directly transferred through the account of each recipient. The funds are directly transferred to their respective accounts starting today, through Taspen according to the results of data verification and validation, so that civil servants retire at home.

Eko said that retired civil servants whose data was recorded in the Taspen database would receive a notification via a short message (SMS), which contained a notification that Taperum funds would be transferred on the next working day after receiving the message. The account used for refunds is the same account as Taspen makes monthly pension payments.
