Buy 4.33 Million Shares, Boss Wismilak Distributes Rp2.48 Billion

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk Ronald Walla purchased the company's shares for investment. Ronald bought 4.33 million shares of the issuer coded WIIM.

In an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, quoted on Wednesday 21 July, Ronald made a transaction to purchase WIIM shares on 15 July 2021 - 16 July 2021. The average transaction price was at the level of IDR 575.18.

That means, Ronald Walla poured Rp. 2.48 billion for the purchase of shares in this cigarette company. After the transaction, Ronald's ownership in Wismilak rose to 318.78 million shares, equivalent to 15.18 percent.

"The purpose of the transaction is investment. Direct ownership status," said Wismilak Inti Makmur Management in a letter to the IDX and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

For information, Ronald Walla has served as President Director of Wismilak Inti Makmur since 2012 based on the decision of the general meeting of shareholders (GMS). Previously, he served as Commissioner at Wismilak in 2008 - 2012.

Ronald also served as President Director of PT Galan Gelora Djaja in 2002 - 2007. Based on the 2019 annual report, Wismilak indirectly owns 99.74 shares of Galan Gelora Djaja.

Galan Gelora Djaja was founded in December 1993. The entity is engaged in manufacturing, import and export, general sales, services, agriculture and agribusiness, forwarding companies, and general trading of cigarettes for the general public.

GGD ceased operations in 2007. However, WIIM stated that it has no intention of closing GGD as it is expected to resume operations when GD expands its business.
