DPRD Where The Candidate For The New Capital City Invites Waskita To Discuss The Construction Of The Penajam-Balikpapan Toll Bridge

JAKARTA - The Regional House of Representatives or DPRD of North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, will invite PT Waskita Toll Road to discuss the continuation of the construction of the Penajam-Balikpapan toll bridge.

"We will hold a coordination meeting with PT Waskita to find out the continuation of the construction of the Penajam-Balikpapan toll bridge," said Chairman of the North Penajam Paser Regency DPRD, Jon Kenedi in Penajam, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 7.

PT Waskita Toll Road is a representative of the consortium team for the construction of the toll bridge that connects Nipah-Nipah, Penajam Regency with Melawai, Balikpapan City. Technically, the height of the bridge free space from the highest sea level (clearance) according to Jon Kenedi, has been resolved.

"We hope that the construction of the toll bridge connecting Penajam-Balikpapan will be followed up immediately to the auction stage," said the Democrat Party politician.

Jon Kenedi continued, the connecting toll bridge over Balikpapan Bay is very important to support the economic development of North Penajam Paser Regency and Balikpapan City.

"The obstacle to the construction of the toll bridge is that the technical engineering of the development planning (review design) has been completed," he said.

"We hope that the presence of PT Waskita Toll Road can encourage an immediate auction," he added.

The height of the free space of the connecting toll bridge from Nipah-Nipah to Melawai has been set at 50 meters from the highest sea level.

The construction of the toll bridge that connects North Penajam Paser Regency with Balikpapan City is 11.75 meters long and 33 meters wide.

The construction of the connecting toll road above the Balikpapan Bay with a combined share of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government of 20 percent, the North Penajam Paser Regency Government with 15 percent, the Balikpapan City Government with five percent and PT Waskita Karya with 60 percent.
