DCI Indonesia, The Company Whose Shares Are Owned By Conglomerate Anthony Salim Is Building The Second Location Of The Hyperscale Data Center

JAKARTA - PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCI), a leading provider of data center services in Indonesia, officially announced the construction of a second location for the DCI campus hyperscale data center in the Pertiwi Lestari Industrial Estate Karawang.

"With this, DCI has two data center locations, namely in Cibitung and Karawang with a distance of more than 30 kilometers, which of course has an equivalent global operational quality. Thus, DCI is able to accommodate customer needs in the midst of accelerating digitization in Indonesia by providing a hyperscale data center campus with the total capacity is more than 1,000 Megawatts," said CEO of DCI Indonesia Toto Sugiri, in a written statement, quoted Monday, June 21.

He explained that the location of DCI's second hyperscale data center campus is called H2, which is currently entering the final stage of development (topping off). According to him, this data center is planned to operate in the fourth quarter of 2021.

"DCI's initiatives are always one step ahead in terms of technological innovation, for that DCI will also start using renewable energy in operating all its data center buildings. It is hoped that the Indonesian data center industry will be more resilient and ready to compete globally in welcoming the digital economy in Asia. Southeast Asia is growing rapidly," explained Toto.

Toto further said, in line with DCI's vision and mission to become a trusted data center provider in Southeast Asia, the H2 data center building is a tangible manifestation of the long-term strategic collaboration between DCI as a data center operator, and Anthony Salim as an asset owner.
