Reconciling With Labor Unions, Indomaret Management: We Are Ready To Execute The Agreement

JAKARTA – Managing Director of PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) Wiwiek Yusuf said that the management is ready to oversee the peace agreement that has been agreed with the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Union (FSPMI) related to the recent chaos.

"We are ready to run well," he said when contacted by VOI, Saturday, June 12.

Wiwiek added that his party will continue to carry out the company's rights and obligations based on the provisions contained in the mutual agreement letter.

"For all things we will still refer to the agreement that has been made together," he said.

As previously reported, the management of Indomaret had clashes with FSPMI and the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) regarding industrial issues.

In fact, the two labor unions threatened to boycott Indomaret if Indomarco's management continued to bring Anwar Bessy's case to court.

To note, Anwar is a company employee who accidentally damaged the company's office gypsum during an action demanding the payment of the 2020 Holiday Allowance (THR) which was considered to be in arrears.

However, the chaos later found a bright spot when the signing of the Collective Agreement between the two parties was witnessed directly by the Director General of Industrial Relations & Social Security (PHI Jamsos) Indah Anggoro Putri.

"Earlier I received a report from the Director General of PHI and Social Security that both parties agreed to make peace and complete this case. The Ministry of Manpower welcomes and appreciates the signing of a Collective Agreement by the parties to resolve this issue," said the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah in a press release. , quoted Saturday, June 12.
