Failure to Meet the Requirements for Reorganization, OJK Withdraws PT BPR Syariah Hasanah Mandiri's Permit

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has officially revoked the business license of PT Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) Syariah Hasanah Mandiri which is located at Jalan Cinere Raya Blok D/102-B, Cinere, Depok City, West Java 16514.

The revocation of the license was based on the Decision of the OJK Commissioner Board Member Number KEP-57/D.03/2026 dated July 16, 2026 regarding the Revocation of the Business License of PT Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah Hasanah Mandiri.

The revocation of this business license is part of OJK's supervisory steps in maintaining stability and strengthening the banking industry, as well as maintaining public confidence in the financial services sector.

Previously, on July 3, 2025, OJK designated PT BPR Syariah Hasanah Mandiri as a bank with the status of supervision of BPR Syariah Dalam Penyehatan (BDP).

The determination is based on the capital condition that does not meet the provisions, marked by the Minimum Capital Coverage Ratio (KPMM) of negative 47.98 percent and the average Cash Ratio for the last three months is only 0.61 percent or below the minimum limit of 5 percent.

Furthermore, on July 2, 2026, the bank's supervisory status was upgraded to BPR Dalam Resolusi (BDR), this decision was taken after OJK provided adequate opportunities for managers and shareholders to carry out rehabilitation efforts, including improving capital conditions as stipulated in POJK Number 28 of 2023 concerning the Determination of Status and Follow-up Supervision of BPR and BPRS.

However, until the deadline, the efforts to heal the company could not be fulfilled.

Based on the Decision of the Board of Commissioners for the Program for the Guarantee of Deposits and Bank Resolution Number 99/ADK3/2026 dated July 8, 2026, the Deposit Insurance Institution (LPS) determined the settlement of PT BPR Syariah Hasanah Mandiri through the liquidation process and asked the OJK to revoke the bank's business license.

Following up on this request, OJK then revoked the business license of PT BPR Syariah Hasanah Mandiri in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 of the applicable POJK.

After the revocation of the business license, LPS will carry out the function of deposit guarantee and liquidation process in accordance with Law Number 24 of 2004 concerning the Deposit Insurance Institution as amended by Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector.

In addition, OJK appeals to customers of PT BPR Syariah Hasanah Mandiri to remain calm because the public funds in the banking sector, including BPR, are guaranteed by LPS in accordance with applicable regulations.
