"This is where then what determines whether a country has competitive competitiveness or not, and Indonesia has started to realize this," he said.

"The government can only encourage the creation of a conducive business climate, but the main actors are still the entrepreneurs themselves," he added.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of Kiniku Bintang Raya KSO Budiman Sudjatmiko tried to attract the younger generation to be directly involved in the development of science and technology through funding support.

"If there are young Indonesians who can make sophisticated software, applications, or genetic engineering, computational engineering, or atomomic engineering, please (submit), the minimum financing is 1 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 14 billion," he said.

According to Budiman, the disbursement of these funds is considered important to encourage the creation of a technology development ecosystem in the country, which so far is considered to be quite weak.

“Our research and development is still weak, both state and private. For that, we are financing your imagination and your innovation," he said.
