JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) continues to accelerate the restoration of the electricity system after the disturbance in the transmission system connecting electricity in Sumatra. Monitoring is carried out intensively and directly coordinated by the President Director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo and the PLN Board of Directors who visited the Transmission and Load Control Center of Sumatra (UIP3BS) in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Sunday, May 24.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that currently 5,579 megawatts (MW) of power supply has been successfully supplied to 1,770 customer distribution networks that were previously affected.
"We immediately escorted the normalization process in the field, and currently the Sumatra electricity system has returned to normal. PLN continues to continue the process of turning on electricity to all customers," said Darmawan, Monday, May 25.
In addition, PLN also continues to monitor electricity supply to public service facilities such as hospitals, airports, and community service centers. This effort is carried out as part of the priority of securing electricity services so that community activities in important sectors can continue to run normally during the system recovery process.
Darmawan said that all electrical parameters in the Sumatra system are currently in a stable condition and operating optimally, so that they are able to maintain the continuity of electricity supply for the community.
He emphasized that PLN continues to monitor the condition of the electricity system in real time through UIP3BS which is the operational control center of the electricity system in the Sumatra region.
"We continue to carry out comprehensive supervision of all operational parameters of the system. With real-time monitoring, every development in the field can be immediately responded to so that the condition of the system remains safe, stable, and optimal in serving the electricity needs of the community," concluded Darmawan.
