Pertamina Denies There Is a Ban on Pertalite for Certain Vehicle Brands

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has denied information circulating on social media regarding a list of vehicle brands that are said to be not allowed to use Pertalite starting June 1, 2026.

"Information regarding the list of certain vehicle brands that are said not to be allowed to buy Pertalite starting June 1, 2026 is confirmed to be incorrect because until now there is no plan or direction from the government and regulators," said Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun quoted by Antara.

He emphasized that until now there has been no plan or direction from the government regarding the restriction of Pertalite based on certain vehicle brands or based on the engine capacity of vehicles as stated in the uploads circulating on social media.

"Our community is urged not to easily trust or disseminate unverified information," said Roberth.

Roberth said Pertamina Patra Niaga carried out the mandate of energy distribution and would follow the official government policy.

"Once again, we emphasize that, to date, there are no rules or directives from the government regarding the restriction of Pertalite based on certain vehicle brands or based on the engine capacity of vehicles," he said.

Currently, the distribution and distribution services of Pertalite are still running normally. The Right Subsidy program that is carried out is part of an effort to support energy distribution governance to be more targeted, and cannot be equated with viral information in the form of a list of certain vehicles that are prohibited from buying fuel.

Pertamina Patra Niaga appeals to the public to always verify information through official government, regulator, and Pertamina channels before redistributing information in the digital space so that they are not easily influenced by information that cannot be ascertained as true.
