JAKARTA - The government has tightened the rules for foreign exchange from the export of natural resources or DHE SDA starting June 1, 2026. This rule emerged when the government paid attention to the outflow of capital and the stability of the rupiah.

"The changes to PP 36 have been finalized and will be implemented as of June 1, 2026," said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 5.
Airlangga said that the DHE SDA must enter the Himbara or collection of state-owned banks. The funds can also be converted into rupiah with a maximum limit of 50 percent.
