Previously reported, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Operation 1 Jakarta said that there had been a disruption of train travel in the East Bekasi area, specifically at the East Bekasi Station KM 28+920, on Monday at 20.52 WIB.
The disruption occurred due to the event of the tertemper of PLB 5568A (CL KPB-CKR) by PLB 4B (KA Argo Bromo Anggrek Gambir-Surabaya Pasar Turi relationship) at the location of the incident, which had an impact on the operation of train travel on the line.
KAI Jakarta Regional Office 1 Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, said PT KAI together with the police were carrying out the evacuation process for the train series and handling the victims at the scene.
"We are trying our best so that railway travel operations can return to normal as soon as possible," said Franoto.
KAI ensures that officers in the field have moved quickly to handle and secure the location, and coordinate with relevant parties to expedite the evacuation process and recovery of travel.
As a security measure, the upper current flow (LAA) on the Cibitung-Bekasi Timur crossing and the Bekasi Timur emplasemen were temporarily disabled.
The cause of the incident and the number of train trips affected are still under investigation and further data collection. Information will continue to be updated periodically.
KAI also appeals to the public to always be careful and comply with safety rules, especially in the area of the rail line and the intersection, in order to prevent similar incidents.
