"We need to encourage it again. We want to accelerate, there is a little delay of approximately 4.5 percent of delay or deviation, so this is what we are chasing," said AHY as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 24.

According to him, what are the technical challenges in the construction process and one of the solutions is to increase the number of workers.

"We also maximize heavy equipment and hopefully with all of that, I asked optimistically that we can still catch up with the 'timeline' in June," he said.

He said, the Wonolopo People's School is the only people's school currently being built in DIY, the school is built on an area of approximately 7.1 hectares. This school is located in Kalurahan (Village) Gulurejo Kapanewon (Sub-district) Lendah.

AHY said that in the second phase of the construction of the People's School, there were 104 schools being built in various regions of Indonesia and of course one of them here.

"We hope that in a not too long time, the timeline is June 2026, this can be completed according to what was reported by the Head of the Unit that there are a number of challenges here and there, but in general this continues to be worked on intensively morning, afternoon, night with Abadi Karya Pradanaraya. We want this to be completed well," he said.

On this occasion, AHY also advised that safety factors in carrying out development projects should be prioritized and that the most visible progress in this SD building.

"The roof is already level and once again by looking at the existing contours, of course, what we need to add is the number of workers. Previously, approximately 840 workers had been deployed and may be added again in the near future so that they can pursue the 'timeline' that has been set together," he said.

The construction of the Wonolopo People's School is currently estimated to have reached 38 percent, with a budget of approximately Rp. 214 billion. Later, this school will be able to accommodate 1,080 students, plus 1,200 teachers.

"We hope that the community, especially from the prosperous families, low-income people can entrust, send their children to this People's School so that it does not burden the family because everything is covered, it is free. The school is free, the food is free, the clothes and books and other school supplies are also prepared," he said.

He said teachers were also prepared to focus on their attention to students.

With this, it is hoped that all of them will be able to produce children who have advantages, achievements, can continue after graduating from high school, college or directly absorbed into the workforce.

He also appreciated this school project absorbing local labor, some local materials, to empower the community's economy.

"We make sure that the material was present, I also asked the material was present here, on site, both sand, stone, cement and others. Some of them are certainly mostly from Kulon Progo but the others can also be brought from or brought from other places. The workforce is also like this, many local people and hundreds of workers from various regions, this will also revive the village or the surrounding area, the local economy, MSMEs, accommodation, residents' houses to be used as accommodation, this can grow well," he said.
