The signing of the contract was carried out at the end of March 2026 by the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) M Yasin Toyib, witnessed directly by the Governor of South Kalimantan Muhidin and the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) Kalsel Supian HK.
The plan is for the 1,047-meter (m) bridge to be completed in less than three years.
