JAKARTA - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport or Soetta is preparing an integrated service at Terminal 2F to serve the departure of 35,285 pilgrims in the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Hajj season.

General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Heru Karyadi, said that all departure processes would be concentrated in Terminal 2F which functioned as an integrated Hajj service facility.

Heru said the departure of the pilgrims was scheduled to take place from April 22 to May 21, 2026, with a total of 84 departure flight groups (clusters) and 84 return clusters. The pilgrims who were sent away came from three embarkations, namely Banten, Jakarta-Bekasi, and Jakarta-Pondok Gede.

Furthermore, Heru ensured that all operational preparations had been carried out to ensure the smooth running of services for pilgrims.

"We have prepared a cluster-based service flow at Terminal 2F and strengthened coordination with all stakeholders. This is done to support the orderly, smooth, and timely departure process," said Heru in an official statement, Monday, April 20.

Heru said terminal 2F has an area of 27,418 square meters with a service capacity of up to 6.1 million passengers per year. Facilities available include a waiting room with a capacity of up to 3,000 people, an integrated passenger service system, and a mosque with an area of 3,136 square meters that can accommodate around 800 worshipers.

In addition, Heru continued, the Makkah Route service was again operated to facilitate the pilgrims' travel process. Through this service, the Saudi Arabian immigration process is carried out before departure so that the waiting time upon arrival can be shorter. To support this service, 10 special counters are prepared in the terminal's sterile area.

All service flows are designed systematically, starting from the arrival of pilgrims at the airport, placement based on clusters, document inspection, to the boarding process to the aircraft. This arrangement is carried out to maintain order and comfort during the departure process.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport together with all stakeholders is committed to continue to improve the quality of services to support the implementation of a safe, orderly, and comfortable hajj," he said.
