JAKARTA - The Regional Development Bank Association (Asbanda) together with PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Tengah (Bank Jateng) held the drawing of the Simpeda Savings National Lottery Period II/2026.

This program again emphasizes Simpeda's role as one of the third-party fund-raising engines (DPK) in the Regional Development Bank (BPD) network.

Bank Jateng President Director Bambang Widiyatmoko revealed that by the end of 2025, the number of Simpeda depositors nationwide had reached more than 8.9 million customers.

This figure jumped around 104 percent compared to the previous period.

"The Simpeda program has proven to be a strategic instrument in encouraging the growth of DPK while expanding financial inclusion," said Bambang.

In terms of performance, Bank Jateng as the host recorded a growth in Simpeda savings of 12 percent year-on-year or equivalent to Rp2.2 trillion in 2025.

According to Bambang, the Simpeda draw is not only ceremonial, but also a marketing strategy to increase customer loyalty and attract cheap funds in the midst of banking industry competition.

Asbanda Secretary General Rokidi added that Simpeda is a product that unites BPD throughout Indonesia and at the same time supports the growth of regional bank business.

"This product is the main strength that unites the BPD from Sabang to Merauke," he said.

The total lottery prize reached Rp3 billion, with the main prize of Rp500 million won by Bank Sumsel Babel customers.

In the future, Asbanda targets the strengthening of Simpeda's features and services to remain competitive in the midst of banking digitization.

The next draw is scheduled to take place in Bengkulu in August 2026.
