Hundreds of Logistics Trucks at the Ketapang-Gilimanuk Crossing Antre for up to 12 Hours

Hundreds of logistics trucks that will cross to Gilimanuk Port, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, through Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, are held up and queued for up to 12 hours.

From observation, until Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 05.15 WIB, logistics trucks queued along the arterial road from the Sri Tanjung Terminal to the entrance of the Ketapang Port, because the buffer zone or parking pocket at Bulusan was full.

"I have been queuing since Saturday (28/3) afternoon at 17.00 WIB and was directed to park in the buffer zone of the Sri Tanjung Terminal, and until this morning I have not been able to cross," said Subito, one of the logistics truck drivers in front of the Ketapang Port entrance, Banyuwangi, quoted by Antara.

He asked field officers at the Ketapang Port to arrange logistics vehicles to cross better, so that they would not have to wait too long even though non-priority logistics trucks during the Lebaran return flow on the Ketapang-Gilimanuk track.

"I have been queuing for 12 hours, he said that if it is more than six hours we get food and drink from the port, but we don't get it," said Subito.

Previously, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ketapang Branch stated that it prioritized private cars and buses on the Ketapang (Banyuwangi) - Gilimanuk (Bali) crossing to maintain the smooth flow of the 2026 Lebaran return flow.

General Manager of ASDP Ketapang Branch Arief Eko said that logistics trucks were not prioritized to cross the Bali Strait during the Lebaran homecoming and return.

"It is not limited, but according to the provisions, if the return flow of the crossing is dense, our logistics trucks are directed to the buffer zone in the parking lot of Bulusan Wharf or Sri Tanjung Terminal, Pusri, but if the ramp can be transported directly," he said.
