JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI recorded a significant increase in the number of users of the Jabodebek LRT during the Lebaran holiday period from 18-24 March 2026. During this period, the number of users reached 294,659 people.

The number of users increased by about 33 percent compared to the same period during Lebaran 2025 which was recorded as 221,040 users.

Manager of Public Relations LRT Jabodebek, Radhitya Mardika said this increase shows a change in people's behavior in choosing transportation modes, especially during high mobility moments such as Eid.

"The significant increase in the number of users shows that the Jabodebek LRT is increasingly trusted and is becoming the main choice of the community, especially during high mobility moments such as Lebaran," he said in an official statement, Thursday, March 26.

The data also confirms that the Jabodebek LRT is no longer positioned as an alternative mode, but has begun to become the main choice for people to carry out activities.

In terms of operations, during the period from March 18 to 24, 2026, KAI operated 270 trips every day. Meanwhile, on H-1 and H+1 Lebaran or March 21 and 22, the number of trips increased to 430 trips per day with special fares of Rp1.

The increasing public interest is inseparable from the various facilities offered, such as integration with various other modes of transportation, ranging from KRL, Airport Trains, Whoosh fast trains, MRT, to TransJakarta, as well as connectivity to various centers of public activity.

In addition, Radhitya said the Jabodebek LRT also provides certainty of travel time because it is not affected by congestion, making it an efficient mobility solution in urban areas.

"These various advantages make the Jabodebek LRT an efficient mobility solution, especially for people's movements during Lebaran 2026," said Radhitya.

With increasingly extensive intermodal connectivity, people can easily switch from one mode to another to reach their final destination, whether for socializing, traveling, or activities in the city center.

KAI hopes that with increasingly optimal services, the Jabodebek LRT can continue to be an important part in supporting the rapid, integrated, and sustainable mobility of urban communities.
