JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (Tugu Insurance) has initiated a donation collection program for survivors of traffic accidents who are disabled through cooperation with the Kitabisa digital donation platform.
The corporate social responsibility (CSR) program which took place during Ramadan aims to provide mobility aids such as prosthetic legs, prosthetic hands, and wheelchairs for survivors so that they can return to activities independently.
Tugu Insurance Corporate Secretary Dudi Subekti said the company would double every donation from the public until March 21, 2026.
"Through this program, we want to bring new hope to accident survivors who are struggling to get back on their feet, both physically and psychologically," he said in an official statement.
Data from the National Police's Korlantas showed that the number of traffic accidents in Indonesia reached around 141,000 cases throughout 2025, with more than 13,000 victims suffering serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a World Health Organization report states that around 10 to 30 percent of traffic accident victims have the potential to experience permanent disabilities.
Through this initiative, Tugu Insurance hopes that public participation in philanthropic activities can increase and provide a wider social impact for accident survivors in Indonesia.
