JAKARTA - PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has clarified a hoax video circulating on the TikTok social media which stated that PIS ships had left the Strait of Hormuz escorted by Iranian Navy ships.
The acting corporate secretary of Pertamina International Shipping, Vega Pita, said that currently 2 ships, namely Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro, are still in the Arabian Gulf, the condition of the ship and the crew is safe and secure.
"PIS continues to carry out intensive monitoring 24/7 in real-time of all fleet and crew positions. We also coordinate closely with maritime authorities and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all ship crews and cargo carried," explained Vega in a statement to the media, Tuesday, March 10.
He continued, previously two PIS ships had moved from the Middle East conflict area, namely the PIS Rinjani ship and the PIS Paragon ship.

Meanwhile, the Pertamina Pride VLCC is on a mission to transport crude oil supplies to meet domestic energy needs.
"In addition to these ships, the supply chain and distribution of energy remain solid, both in international waters and Indonesian waters, supported by at least 345 ship fleets under the management of other Pertamina Group entities," continued Vega.
